Researchers from TEAMS participated in a Symposium at the EARLI (The European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction) conference from 22nd to 26th August 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
One symposium focussed on the dynamics between teachers’ agency, expertise and social relationships and how teachers mobilize their relational agency.
Tuire Palonen, University of Turku, Finland, together with Michael Goller, University of Paderborn, Germany, presented: Teachers’ and school staff members’ agency, expertise and ties to colleagues.
Päivi Hökkä, Katja Vähäsantanen & Eija Räikkönen (University of Tampere & Jyväskylä & Häme University of Applied Sciences, Finland) delivered a presentation entitled: School staff members’ professional agency in Finland, Scotland, and Sweden – a comparative study.
Natasa Pantic and Thibault Coppe, (University of Edinburgh, UK and University of Groningen, NL) presented the paper ‘Teachers’ relational agency within professional networks for supporting migrant students’, as well as the ‘Mixed-methods Social Network Analysis’ in another Symposium.
